On Sunday, March 9, Ellen Hospador and Richard Miller, with the assistance of the Rev. Reade Acheson, will present a program of meditative music for cello and piano. The music presented will feature hymn prelude arrangements by John Arnn and Thomas Keesecker, as well as transcriptions of J. S. Bach’s chorale preludes and will be enhanced by prayer, scripture and poetry readings.
Ellen Hospador is a well-known cellist in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. She has played frequently in the Old Chapel at Central Moravian where she also sings with the Chapel Choir. She is in demand for the orchestras of local school musicals, and plays with the Lehigh University Orchestra.
Richard Miller is the Old Chapel Organist and Choir Director at Central Moravian Church, a position he has held for the past 30 years. He has been awarded the James Salzwedel Award for excellence in church music at the local level.
