Moravian star

A star as part of the symbolism
of Christmas must be as old as
the festival itself since the
Star of Bethlehem figures so prominently in the nativity story.

The Moravian Star is also called
the Advent Star or Herrnhut Star.
The first is appropriate because the star is hung in the church beginning with the first Sunday
in Advent.

The Moravian Star is popular
in both church and home.

Holy Communion

Open table where

All are welcomed!

In Holy Communion we give thanks to God for all that God has done in creating and sustaining us, and, most of all, for redeeming us in Jesus Christ. We pray for the Holy Spirit to make this sacrament of our crucified and risen Savior effective and real for us so that we may receive renewed assurance of the forgiveness of our sin and be strengthened to live new lives in Christ for witness and service in the world
In lovefeast we share a cookie or bun and coffee or chocolate milk.
Lovefeasts originated in the first gathering of Christians after Pentecost. The early believers met and broke bread together, thereby signifying their union and equality. These meals of the church family were associated with the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, which followed them.

Our church offers a traditional setting for your most sacred celebration.
